Master Confidence activities
Have you ever said to yourself – “No, I am not good enough for this!” or something like – “I don’t think I can make it done”? If you did, you never will once you read this article. Of course, it’s a huge claim for an article like this. But this recipe is needed if you are eager to learn confidence activities.
You may have heard this expression – He is born confident. But it’s not true. No one is born with anything. We all were fragile and naked when we were born. Confidence activities, fear, self-esteem, anger, frustration, and any skill we have learned as we have grown up. Our circumstances, our parents, any authority figures, and our own thoughts were responsible for what we learned and what we didn’t.
That means there is good news and bad news. Let’s talk about the bad news first. The bad news is that no matter what we become, we are responsible for it. That means we can’t blame the world for our problems and our low confidence activities. We are the owner of it. And this bad news brings in good news as well. The good news is you can change at any point in time. No matter who you are and what you do, you can change to be a better person. All you need to do is trust yourself enough to start the change process.
Now, let’s talk about confidence activities. Did we mention that it is learnable? Yes, it is. The following section will show you how to be as confident as possible. There are 5 easy and simple things you can do, day in and day out, to be at the peak of confidence activities.
Before that, let’s define confidence activities!
What are Confidence activities?
Confidence-building activities are the ability to trust yourself enough so that no matter whatever tasks you are faced with, you can always say – I can do it, yes, I know, I can do it. And that’s it. Confidence-building activities are the capacity not to get seduced by people’s opinions and what they think to be true. Rather you need to believe in yourself so much that all those people and their opinions about you seem mute while facing any challenge.
But how would you do it? Is it possible to do it?
Yes, you will!
5 Ways You Can Learn and Master Confidence Activities
Building confidence-building activities is a skill. But it’s learnable, and here’s how.
#1 – Confidence activities – Self-talk
This is where all begins. You try something, and you fail. People around you go over to you and say – Hey, you failed. You are a failure. And you say to yourself – Yes, they are true; I am a failure. And then you decide to keep playing that tape in your mind over and over and over again. Whenever you try anything new, you tell yourself, ” But I am a failure; I won’t be able to make it. And you don’t. You lose everything that you try. And you lose yourself in the process. The question is – Why to do that? There are enough people on the planet to tell you that “you can’t”, “you are a failure”, “you are not good enough”, and so on and so forth. Why join their army? Why not support yourself? Why believe in their belief about you?
We are strange as human beings. We don’t realize how we destroy our potential through negative self-talk. We buy into people’s beliefs and say to ourselves again and again why it is impossible to make our mark. Do you think the winners who have won anything in their life never failed in anything? Let us tell you that they failed much more than we can imagine. Marketing guru Seth Godin was rejected by publishers 900 times before he published his first book. 12 publishers rejected J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter before one small publisher agreed to publish it. Business Philosopher Jim Rohn was rejected 9 out of 10 times whenever he used to give a sales pitch. But did they stop? Did they tell themselves that it would not be going to work out? Rather they said the opposite. They said to themselves – “I know I am rejected. But I won’t stop here. I will get it done.” And they did. Now you know them. Have you heard about John Rohn? No? How would you? He never tried anything once he failed at public speaking in high school. Do you have the same story? And you want to change it?
Here’s how.
Talk to yourself today – “I will take a small task, and I know I can do that. It’s a bit scary for me, but I believe I will.” Then start doing your work. Set yourself a small target, and then once you achieve it, set yourself another target. Once you achieve more, set more and achieve them again and again and again. Eventually, you will see that even if you know in your heart that you know almost nothing about what you’re trying to accomplish, you will say to yourself – “I will do it anyway.”
#2 – Confidence activities – It’s okay to fail
Failure doesn’t feel good. Rather failure hurts a lot. But realize one thing people who fail, fail because they try. So if you want to avoid failure, you can stay in your room and do nothing. People won’t tell you anything. You won’t fail. And everything will remain as it was before. But that is now how success is made. That is how confidence qualities are built.
Confidence qualities are built on failures. It’s an ability to take failures and interpret them on your own terms. Instead of seeing it as a dead-end, confident people see it as an opportunity to improve their craft one more time. And how long do they keep on doing it? Until they get what they want. Is it simple? Yes. Is it easy? No.
You must take failures and say to yourself – “One more time.” And you would see the more you will gallop and fail to reach your mountaintop, the better you are becoming in confidence qualities. All you need to do is not fear failure and not give up when failure hits hard. You just need to keep moving forward until you get to your destination.
#3 – Confidence activities – Repetition
Confidence-building activities are a skill that you need to practice if you wish to retain them. You cannot just be confident if you lack confidence qualities all your life. You need to practice doing things that will make you confident.
Use the following tips to retain your confidence qualities.
- Do things that scare you. Make a list of things and start with anything. Make sure that its consequence is not brutal. Go with little fears like showering in cold water, eating chilies without water, or anything that will push you more than ordinary.
- Do hard things. Hard things mean before doing them, people will think twice. Now different people have different perceptions. What seems hard to you may not be hard for another person.
- Do the above two every day. Then, you can choose one day fear and another day hard and keep doing them.
The more you would do it, the better you will be. What about your confidence? It will reach sky-high.
#4 – Confidence activities – Catch yourself doing the right things
If you have ever taught a child or you have a child you teach, you often hear yourself saying – “No, this is not the right way to do it. It’s wrong.” If you have done that before and continue doing so, you probably have heard similar voices in your past. It could be your parents who always told you where you were wrong or any authority figure who always pointed out where you did a mistake.
Result?
We will do the same thing again with your children or whom you teach now. Why? Because focusing on the wrong things has become a habit now. It’s so automatic that you can’t think of not doing it.
But it can be changed. And if it can be changed, you will increase and master confidence. Here’s how –
Catch yourself doing things right. Always!
Change your focus. If you make a mistake, don’t worry about it. Instead, learn from it and find out where you are right, even if it is small.
Start by practicing with others. Point out what is right in anything. Make your wholehearted focus on finding the right thing. Pointing out wrong things not only devastates your children, but it also devastates you as well. You don’t realize when it happens, but it happens subtly. And you become something you are not destined to become.
Change your mind right away. Then, all you need to do is to focus on only the right things that have been happening around you.
For example –
- Stay away from any violent news. Don’t read or watch news channels that show violent things and what’s wrong with the world.
- Don’t read trashy books that portray irresponsible characters and always blame the world for your problems.
- Stay away from toxic people who criticize you and your ambitions.
Did you notice that we focused on the wrong things with the world? This is not how you should do it. Rather do it this way –
- Watch news that is inspiring and motivating.
- Read confidence books that make you think more about yourself and what you can be
- Associate with inspiring people and change-makers
Concentrate on the right to get the right results. If you can tweak this simple thing, you will be able to learn and master confidence within a few months of practice.
#5 – Confidence activities – Stay away from toxic people to increase confidence
This is something many people talk about when they talk about confidence qualities! But what if your parents are toxic people you want to avoid? What if your relatives are people who always love to crush your ambition and dreams? What then?
We will show you how you would be able to stay away from those people.
- If, unfortunately, you find that your parents tend to crush your dreams and aspirations, you need to spend less time with them. Even if they are your parents and you live with them, try to stay away from their influence. Whenever you are doing something you want to do, shut the door and don’t tell them that you are working on your dream project.
- Find your place. That place would be yours, and no one should come to that place when you are working. If you can find your place in a room at your home, do so. If not, search for options. You will find the bank of a river, a park, a terrace, or anywhere. Just make sure that the place is an area where you can dream loud.
- Find a bunch of people who love you and inspire you. Go and talk to them often. If you can do that on a regular basis, do so.
- Read good stuff. If you read things like these, the environment you are in would seem less disturbing to you.
- Finally, whenever someone says that you won’t be able to achieve your dreams, stop and don’t respond. Instead, do it in your action. Words against words don’t solve a problem. Instead, it increases the intensity of the problem.
If you follow these above ways, you will be operating at a much higher confidence level within a year than ever. One year is just a period of time in which you need to invest in yourself. Remember, confidence-building activities are a learned skill; you can learn it by applying the above ways. No. You don’t need to pick all of them at once. Pick one you like and start working on it until you get better. If you see it’s working, great. But if it’s not working, pick another one and try for some time. One or two from above will definitely click in your case, no matter where you are and your current situation. I wish you good luck. And don’t forget this – “Confidence is king, and the crown is on your head!”
