It is a 3D Animation software that runs on Windows, OS X and Linux, originally developed by Alias Systems Corporation it is used to create interactive 3D applications, including video games, animated film, TV series, or visual effects. Maya has been used to create 3D Animation for many Academy Award winning films like Monsters, Inc., The Matrix, Spider-Man, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Avatar and Finding Nemo.

Cinema 4D:
It is a 3D modeling, animation and rendering application developed by Maxon Computer GmbH in Germany. It is capable of procedural and polygonal/subd modeling, animating, lighting, texturing, rendering. Cinema 4D has been used in making of the following blockbusters The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Beowulf, Spider-Man 3, Monster House, War of the Worlds, Chronicles of Narnia, Serenity, Inception, Doom, Van Helsing, The Polar Express, King Arthur, Iron Man and Pacific Rim.

Autodesk Mudbox:
Currently developed by Autodesk, Mudbox was created by Skymatter. Mudbox’s primary application is high-resolution digital sculpting, texture painting, and displacement and normal map creation. The Mudbox user interface is a 3D environment that allows the creation of movable cameras that can be bookmarked. Models created within the program typically start as a polygon mesh that can be manipulated with a variety of different tools. The movie King Kong used Mudbox extensively.

Unity is a cross-platform game engine developed by Unity Technologies and is used to develop video games for PC, consoles, mobile devices and websites. First announced only for OS X it has now extended support to more than fifteen platforms. Comprehensive 3D Design Course Description
This Course Bundle on 3D Animation exposes you to the the Animation world via the following software Maya, 4D Cinema, Mudbox, Unity and Nuke. So this is not a single software course but material spans over 5 software. The Course bundle has been divided into 5 Sections and over 250 Modules. Each section covers one software. A brief description of each section is given below.
Section 1: Nuke Training
The Nuke training course has been divided into a comprehensive 30 training modules. To start with you will first develop an understanding of the the Nuke’s User interface. After that you will get to learn about the key features of Nuke that would be required to create feature film quality composites. Further on you will learn how to build node trees, create key frame animations, compositing visual effects, color correcting modes, use of timeline, and many features of Nuke‘s powerful image viewer. The important topics of tracking, stabilizing and match move also have been explained in detail in this course.
Section 2: Maya Animation Training
The Maya training course has been divided into 91 modules and has over 11 hours of training video.
In this course you will first gain knowledge about Maya Animation Principles and Maya Animation Settings. Then you will be gradually exposed to over 70 features of working with Maya which includes the following and many more.
In the course you will gain detailed knowledge about Transformation, Grouping, Ball Translate, Ball Graph tweak, Final Animation, Colgate Modeling, Colgate UV Texture, Colgate UV Planar Mapping, Colgate Photoshop, Metal Ball Translate, Text Modeling, Text Placement, Text Animation, Character Animation, Render, Trace Maya, Material, Lighting, Plane Body, Plane Back, Motion Path Part, 2D Paint Canvas, 3D Paints and Attributes.
Section 3: Cinema 4D Training
In this course to start with you will get comprehensive training on Basics of Spline Modeling and Spline Types, Types of Deformers and its Settings. Then you will be exposed to Modeling of Objects, Polygon Modeling with Vertex, Edge, and Polygon Faces and Material Editor. After you have explored the various facets of the Material Editor you will learn about Unwrapping a 3 D Object and extracting UVW layouts. Lighting is a very important aspect of 3D modelling so you will be exposed to elements of Lighting next. After you have mastered the Lighting modules you will gain exposure to the Camera inside Cinema 4D and Camera Animations. After that you will gain comprehensive insight on Animation where you will learn about keyframing and curve editing. You will also be exposed to MoGraph and how to best do Rendering with Cinema 4D.
Section 4: Mudbox Training
This course has over 57 high quality lectures and over 11 hours of Video Training. The main topics which have been covered here are Handling of Objects; Painting of Textures; Sculpting Faces and Sculpting of Figures.
Section 5: Unity Game Engine Training
This detailed course on Unity will first give you an introduction about the Unity Game Engine. Then you will be acquainted with the default views. You will then learn how to set up the Skybox. Features of the Character Controller will be explained and Game Objects and Game Components will be featured and lectured on. Then you will be exposed to Prefabs and Scenes. Training will be given on how to create 3D environment. You will gain insights on how to develop and work with 2D sprites and and 2D Animations. After Sprites you will be taught 3D Essentials and what is Scripting and how to work with Scripts.
What are the requirements/pre-requisites?
One should have basic computer knowledge and a knack for the creative arts field. Basic knowledge of 2D and 3D Graphics and Photography and Lighting can be considered a plus point for the courses on 3D modelling and Animation.
