Course Overview
Basic ActionScript 3.0 Training:
ActionScript is an object-oriented programming (OOP) language that has a wide reach and specific application in web site animation. Through this training you shall be understanding the fundamentals of programming in ActionScript 3 using both Flash Professional and Flash Builder. Learn how to use core constructs and object types such as variables, arrays, and functions. Programming with ActionScript allows much more efficiency in Flash applications to build animations of all kinds, from simple to complex, rich in data and interactive interfaces.
The training will include the following:
Topic 1: Introduction to ActionScript 3.0- Here we understand an overview about ActionScript
Topic 2: Programming fundamentals- You will learn Working with objects, Common program elements, Building applications with ActionScript, Creating your own classes and creating a basic application
Topic3: ActionScript programming- Here you will learn about Objects and classes, Packages and namespaces, Variables, Data, Syntax, Operators, Conditionals, Looping and Functions.
Topic 4: Object-oriented programming in ActionScript- We understand Classes, Interfaces and Inheritance, Dates and times, Calendar dates, Controlling time intervals.
Topic 5: String – under Strings we would see Basics of strings, Creating strings, Length property, Working with characters in strings, Comparing strings, Obtaining string representations of other objects, Concatenating strings, Finding substrings and patterns in strings, Converting strings between uppercase and lowercase.
Topic 6: Array- Let’s look at Indexed arrays, Associative arrays and Multidimensional arrays.
