Course Overview
Internetworking Devices
This comprehensive course is all about the internetworking devices. Internetworking is a word used by Cisco, BBN, and other providers of network products and services as a all-inclusive term for all the concepts, technologies, and generic devices that allow people and their computers to communicate across different kinds of networks.
It includes lectures of the foundation concepts and techniques of computer network. It introduces fascinating and useful things you can do on the computer network. It will provide examples of modern products useful in daily life. This course provides solid knowledge and technique that would be an advantage for internship and future career.
We will in detail understand about Internetworking devices such as line configuration, types of network, modes of transmission and OSI model. Module wise segregation of the course is as follows;
Line Configuration- Learn about line configuration theory, point to point configuration, multipoint configuration, topology and types such as physical and logical.
Types of network- In this we will learn the Network Types depending upon the area and media. It includes understanding Lan, Wan, Man, Modes of transmission, Simplex, Half Duplex, Full Duplex.
OSI Model- In this module we will understand the OSI model IEEE standard definition, Functions of application layer and protocol, functions of presentation layer and session layer and protocol, functions of transport layer and protocol, data link layer, physical layer which involves maintaining electrical and mechanical connection using this layer, which type of Ethernet used for which network, three layer cisco model for maintaing the network design by cisco, ether standard used for media for network and rj45 and cabling standard.
