Course Overview
This course will give you a basic understanding on software testing, its type’s methods, levels, and other related terminologies. It is a process of analyzing a software item to detect the differences between existing and required conditions (that is defects/errors/bugs) and to evaluate the features of the software item.
In this course we will cover what is testing, testing methodologies, levels of testing, what is defect, defect life cycle, participants involved in testing, different documents need to prepare with testing, different software testing techniques, testing principles, procedures.
Many students who want to build a career in IT look forward to being a software tester as a stepping stone. People who are passionate about this field and would love to grow as a quality tester often end up getting the best jobs out there.
Testing is the process of evaluating a system or its components with the intent to find whether it satisfies the specified requirements or not. Testing is executing a system in order to identify any gaps, errors, or missing requirements in contrary to the actual requirements. Testing is an investigation conducted to provide stakeholders with information about the quality of the product or services under test. Software testing can also provide an objective, independent view of the software to allow the business to appreciate and understand the risks of software implementation. Test techniques include, but are not limited to, the process of executing a program or application with the intent of finding software bugs. It involves the execution of a software component of system component to evaluate one or more properties of interest.
