Course Overview
About Process of Organizational Development:
The Organizational Development Process is based on the action research model which begins with an identified problem or need for change. The process proceeds through assessment, planning of an intervention, implementing the intervention, gathering data to evaluate the intervention, and determining if satisfactory progress has been made or if there is need for further intervention. The process is cyclical and ends when the desired developmental result is obtained.
Organizational Development (OD) is both the field of applied behavioral science focused on understanding and managing organizational change to increase an organization’s effectiveness and viability and a field of scientific study and inquiry.” Organization Development believes that every part of an organization is integral to a system that relies on and impacts other elements of the internal and external environment in which the organization operates.
Through this course you will be learning about concepts, definition, stems or history, values, objectives, assumptions of organizational development, characteristics of organizational development, Lewin’s change model, Action Research Model, the Positive Model, cyclical phases of planned change. Also you will be learning about Concept of entering a OD relationship; determining the relevant client and selecting an OD practitioner, Concept of contracting, mutual expectation, time and resource, ground rules. Such all things you will be learning under this course.
