SilhouetteFX – Intermediate Training Course:

This is a VFX (Visual Effects) rotoscoping course in which more stress is given in various tracking techniques to speed up the workflow according to deadline driven environment of a post production/VFX studio.

What is rotoscopy?

Rotoscopy is an animation technique where animators trace over footage frame by frame for the use in live action and animated films.

In VFX industry, rotoscopy refers to a technique of manually creating a matte of an element on a live action plate so that it can be composited over another background.

For students who wish to kick start their career in the Animation/VFX industry as silhouette artist/ production/roto artist, this course has been designed for them.

The professionals/production artists in the VFX industry can also enhance their skill while going through this course. The sfx file and nuke scripts are included as exercise files and reference.

SilhouetteFX – Intermediate began as a rotoscoping tool for the visual effects industry. Through this professional training in SilhouetteFX – Intermediate Beginners module you are going to learn tracking. Wherein you will learn in detail about point tracker, two point tracker, mocha tracker, linking layers of shapes with various tracking information’s, masking banners of buildings for color correction or replacement, rotoscoping in faster pace using trackers.

The next part of the training would include masking railings of bridges using trackers,

matching the blur with the actual footage, color correction of railings, masking exterior using corner pin tracking, mocha tracking, color correction of sky-skrappers, sky replacement of the entire footage in nuke, rendering the vfx shot, rotoscoping the human feet in the foreground, shape breakdowns in the joints, matching the motion blur of the feet and green screen replacement of the footage.

Pre-Requisites SilhouetteFX – Intermediate:

• Basic Computer Knowledge
• Good in drawing skills, visualizing.
• Passion to learn
