Course Overview
Valuation Course – Broadcasting and Cable TV (Time Warner Cable Inc.)
The objective of this online live project is for the candidates to learn about valuation methodologies such as discounted cash flows (DCF) and relative valuations and apply it on a live company which is Time Warner Cable Inc. and arrive at its fair share price value.
The participants would be provided with the financial model of Time Warner Cable Inc. prepared by our research analysts and using the information participants are supposed to do the valuation. Another part of this project includes preparing a recommendation report on the investment decision arrived at after completing the valuations.
At the end of this course the candidates will be in a position to recommend the buy/sell/hold investment perspective on the stocks of Time Warner Cable Inc.

Valuation Course Highlights
The valuation course has been divided into various modules which have been explained as follows;
Excel for analysts
An analyst is required to work on excel day in and out and needs to be very well versed with using excel tools and functions. In order to meet this requirements we have included the module of basic and advanced excel for the candidates to be proficient in excel usage. You would get to learn various excel functions such as IF, COUNT IF, SUM IF, conditional formatting, data functions, sorts and filters, charts and graphs, form control and much more.
Corporate Valuation
This module is to learn about core corporate valuation. It would cover concepts such as Dividend Discount Model (DDM), Discounted Cash Flows (DCF), relative valuation and its application examples comparable company analysis, residual income, sum of parts, sector specific valuation methodologies and private equity valuation approaches.
Report writing techniques
The last module of this course focuses on how the valuation recommendation needs to be presented in the form of an equity research report. The entire module explains what this report is, do’s and don’ts of writing a research reports.
