#1 Guru Ghasidas Jayanti
The birth anniversary of Guru Ghasidas is mostly celebrated in the state of Chhattisgarh, but his preaching is well-known throughout India. He was a 19th-century Guru who preached truth and equality. He was born into a chamar family, which exposed him to the exploitation of people from a lower caste and established a Satnami community on equality and truth.
He traveled across the entire Malwa and rejected the inequalities prevailing in society today, and we have a national park named Guru Ghasidas National Park in Chhattisgarh.
#2 Goa Liberation day
Send that the Portuguese were the first to enter India and last to leave. After the independence of India, the Portuguese left the country in the regions of Goa. Finally, on December 19th, 1961, Goa got Liberation from Portuguese possession and declared a part of the Indian Union.
Today Goa is one of the states of India, A fully recognized one like other states in our country. The Liberation of Goa from the Portuguese is by performing festivals and events that take place in Goa on that day. December 19th is a public holiday in the state of Goa, and therefore we have it in a list of holidays in December.
#3 Christmas
Christmas is the birthday of Jesus Christ, the Lord of Christianity’s followers. People bring a Christmas tree to their houses, offices, and shops on this day and decorate it with bells, candies, chocolates, and gifts. There is a myth that Santa Claus comes with a bag of gifts and gives it to everybody on the day of Christmas.
We don’t know how true this is but let’s be sure if it is true. Usually, during Christmas, children are very happy because they receive lots of gifts from their family and friends. Also, Christmas marks the beginning of New Year’s week, which makes the occasion more memorable. It is at the top of our list of holidays in December.
#4 New Year’s Eve
Welcoming the new year is a good tradition, and it is followed all over the world with great enthusiasm and celebrations. People around the world have different ways and traditions of celebrating the New Year. Many people take International trips to ring in the new year with their family or friends. You can also plan a trip this New Year with the people who you love and welcome a new year in your life.
