What is cloud computing?
The cloud network is classified as type of computer network that resides in cloud computing type architecture. The cloud network provides the functionality of network connectivity between different cloud systems and services. The cloud network is similar to computer network but it helps to connect the remote user to the system that can use the system from any remote location and can sue the cloud application like SaaS and cloud infrastructure IaaS. When the user uses the web system the queries are delivered via cloud infrastructure and serve by backend system of application. The cloud network also provides the functionality of communicating two virtual machines and establishing communication among them.
How does Cloud Computing works?
In the cloud computing network, the service is made of different components that are used to provide cloud service to the customers. The components are distributed across different platforms so that if anyone of the component goes down the service is still running and serve to the users. Cloud computing provides a virtual environment for the users to store the data on the cloud and can access that data remotely from any location. The services are operable in case of hardware failure or any other server issues. For example, there is one large building which has a large area in it. Many small companies will not take the complete building they will always s=take a small portion of it to make their setup. The cloud computing network can be visualize in same way that user dies not take complete service, they always take a small portion of the network as per their requirements. Cloud computing provides services to its user and these services are always available and user can access these services from any remote location.
Characteristics of Cloud Computing
As IT technologies are evolving continuously it directly increases the demand of using cloud computing networks. There are some characteristics of cloud network that are mentioned below:
1. Resource pooling
The cloud providing company uses computing resources and then provides cloud services to different customers. The resources can be categorized into virtual and physical resources that can be used and can be allocated to users on their demands.
2. Maintenance is easy
The cloud servers are easy to setup and install and the maintenance of the servers are easy to done. The servers have usually very low downtime and provide continuous service to their customers. The performance of the servers is better and faster than providing proper cloud services.
3. Access to large network
The user is provided the functionality of accessing the large cloud network and can use the resources and services provided by the system. The user can use the cloud network to access the data, upload the data from any remote location, and can use services from any device. All it needs is the internet connection that will be used to connect to the cloud network.
4. Availability
The cloud services are always provided to the user. The service is offered 24 X & to the user. The user can use a cloud network as a storage platform and also has the option to buy more space as per the requirements. The user can access the data anytime from the network.
5. Economical
The cloud services is economical if the organization is taking the service. The large organization can take the cloud service and can offered small portion of the cloud to other small organization. By this the affordability of the service will be increase and everyone will get chance to use the cloud services.
6. Automatic system
The cloud services are capable of analyzing the user needs and providing the services according to that. The user can monitor the service, control the usage. The network provides the functionality to the user to access the whole network.
7. Pay as per use
This characteristic of a cloud network makes this more important for use by the customers. The cloud network provides the functionality that the user has to pay only for that service that they use. No extra money they have to pay or no hidden charges are there which makes this service more suitable for use.
Implementation and understanding of Cloud Computing
As cloud computing has its own advantage and is beneficial for the organization. The only requirement is to properly understand the service and then use the service in their system. In the cloud system, the data is stored in virtual servers that can be accessed from any remote location. By this, data security is increased, and risk management is improved. For implementing cloud services there is a need for proper understanding. Some of the measures are described below:
1. Is application is compatible with cloud platform
Before implementing the cloud services first need is to make the system compatible with the cloud platform. Is the application is scalable to move to cloud platform. After implementing cloud services, the benefits will be there or not. All this understanding is needed before switching to cloud services.
2. Getting ownership of data
As the user uses the cloud platform for storing their crucial data and information, it is very important that the data is kept secure on the cloud platform. Also, the data should be present anytime on the cloud so that it can be easily access from any remote location.
3. Fluctuation in service use
As the user starts to use the cloud service and implement in the application, the user buy the storage space for application. The cloud service provides the functionality that users can extend the storage space as per the requirement. And the user has to only pay for the service that they use.
Conclusion
The cloud computing network is widely used by various type of organization as this platform provide the functionality to store huge chunks of data and can access that data from any location and from any device. The services offered by the platform are affordable and can be used the users very easily.
