Here we successfully created a Test Plan. Now consider one scenario: we need to execute or maintain the concurrency for 500 users for 2 hours. So how we can handle this scenario, the answer to this question is loop count. So we can easily handle this scenario by using loop count. So add loop counts that are present in the thread group as shown in the following screenshot as follows.
We can see that initially, loop count is one we can manage as per our requirement, so here we increase the number of thread users and loop count as shown in the following screenshot as follows.
Now save the Test Plan and run, after execution of the Test Plan we can see the output of the Test Plan as shown in the following screenshot as follows.
In the above screenshot, we can see, here we add 500 users and, the ramp-up time is 2 seconds and the loop count is 1 then we get the above screenshot. Now increase loop count and let’s see what happens as shown in the following screenshot as follows.
Now save the Test Plan and execute, after execution of the Test Plan we can see the output in the view tree as shown in the following screenshot.
Using Config Element in JMeter loop count
Now let’s see how we can configure elements for loop count in JMeter as follows.
Let’s consider one scenario: suppose we need to add different entities in a loop by using an HTTP request, so generally, what we do is copy and paste but this is a bad choice. Now assume we do the same scenario 200 and 300 times so it is difficult.
So better way we need to define the counter inside the thread group and configure it as per our requirement as shown in the following screenshot as follows.

JMeter loop count Features
Now let’s see what features of loop count in JMeter are as follows.
- There are a few situations where we want to execute a particular area on different occasions and not the entire test suite. We can consider underneath referenced situation for instance:
- Every client Logs into the application.
