XHTML is a markup language that is a part of the family of XML's set of technologies. XHTML is called Extensible Hypertext Markup Language. It also extends the features or versions of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) technology. XHTML is also an application of XML and it has different file extension types such as .xhtml, .html, XML, etc. Its internet media type MIME is application/xhtml+xml. It was developed by W3C which is a standard for web technologies specifications. It was initially released in the year January 2000. XHTML also has many features that are similar to HTML.
