(with IR). For NLP conversion from VueScan DNG it takes 10, 5 sec. (these are a time for one photo scan)
VueScan can make 16-bit files while SilverFast can make only 8-bit files and VueScan files are 108 MB per photo whereas SilverFast gives 54 MB.
VueScan creates DNG raw file and SilverFast creates Tiff files. If you want to adjust highlights and shadows of any image then in SilverFast you can do it by using Histogram features of it while in VueScan it takes a little bit more steps to do this.
